Welcome to the mobile telecommunications age when data is available to all at the push of a button. Alot has improved from the era of just voice communication to high speed data access 2g to 4g and now there is even the talk of 5g data access. Phones aint just a device you speaking into anymore, they are now a part of our being and some people even use their expensive phones as a fashion statement. Billions of smart phones are in circulation today android and IOS with different high end features from GPS, mp3,  HD camera and recording even health monitor sensors as well. Statistics shows that the average smart phone user uses less than 7% of their phones functionality. It is sad to note that despite all this advances in mobile telecommunications, alot of people especially in nigeria barely go beyond phone calls and texting despite using expensive high end gadgets. Terms such as Hotspot, Near Field Communication (NFC), Screen Mirroring/Casting etc all seem like jargon, even common bluetooth operations is a hard task to accomplish by some. This begs the question how to best get the most out of your expensive toy?  There are alot of apps in the app store today that does wonders and can make you more efficient at work especially without making you have to run to your office whenever you want to get some basic work done.

This app is simple and pretty straight forward. it connects you to your yahoo mail accounts and enable you send and receive emails. It also helps backup your contacts online to your email as well. It has a news section which enables you view breaking news headlines. This app comes in handy as it can alert you to incoming company and private mails which you can access and handle on the move anywhere anytime.

This app is indispensable especially if you receive alot of attachments and need to view them on the go. It supports Word, Powerpoint, Excel, txt, and even pdf. Basically any attachment you receive can be viewed on this app and lot more.

This app happens to be the very first on my todo list whenever i get a new phone, it does everything, filesharing/hosting/transfer, data management, music, videos, file compression, the list is endless. It has a remote manager which enables you manage your device folders directly from your computer wirelessly, it also transfers files over wifi at crazy speeds. The list of features is endless and the developers keep adding more.

This app works like a magical scanner. you do not have to use a scanner anymore to get high quality images on your device. This app utilizes your phone camera to produce high quality scanned document subject to your phone camera quality. This app requires little effort on your part. It automatically seeks out your document, focuses and crops accordingly to produce stunning results. One word to describe it is "magic"

This is more or less like google maps, it uses your GPS sensor to pin point your current location in order to get you to your destination as the need be. The major difference is that this app works offline and requires no internet, meaning you can afford to get to your destination without fear of going of of network coverage.
